Offering sacred steps to feeling ‘In Flow’
“I am rooted, but I flow.”
Fear. An all too common feeling that sometimes paralyzes me and so many others from dropping into a freer arrangement of another more femininely divine four letter word - Flow.
After nearly drowning in the Pacific Ocean at the age of 12, I was able to embody and heal my fear of the ocean through my desire to catch a wave like the surfers I used to admiringly watch glide across the sparkling waters along the PCH. The strength and fearlessness of those aquatic angels inspired me to get back into the water and helped give birth to the name Chief Flow Rider. More on that here.
Being ‘in flow’ continues to serendipitously unravel and attach itself to my life in so many meaningful ways. It started from the pun connected to my role at the organic tampon company I helped build back in 2008. It is now spilling over to the evolution of my spiritual practice. These days I find myself flowing through the Torah’s teachings of the Tree of Life, while weaving in the great and related wisdoms of other ancient traditions I’ve come across along the way.
Throughout my life, I’ve been privileged to learn from the very best of mother earth’s teachers, my own past lives and other spirit guides; some of whom are quoted here and all of which put me on the path to:
REMEMBER my ancestral heritage, like my great grandmother Monir who was a shunned plant medicine healer in Iran and my great grandfather who was the biggest tea merchant in all of Iran during his time.
RECLAIM my voice by overcoming the inherited traumas of a lineage of women who didn’t have the freedom to express their own.
REJOICE in great wisdoms by being brave enough to step into my healing journey.
These three words have become a three step formula and mantra for how I feel called to help others step out of their fear and into their flow of how to Remember, Reclaim and Rejoice in their Light, Spirit and Mission.
‘In Flow’ Formula
When we take time to remember where we came from, how we got here, and where we’re going, we can stand present in our light.
REMEMBER YOUR LIGHT
with nature retreats.
“Forgetting is exile; remembering is redemption.”
Leveraging the inherited power in the vertical vortex of time we live in, helps us understand and clear any blockages getting in the way of standing in our true spirits.
RECLAIM YOUR SPIRIT
in tea ceremony.
“Ritual is a way of giving voice to ultimate values.”
When we become aligned with who we are by Remembering our Light and Reclaiming our Spirit, we are free to Rejoice in our Mission.
REJOICE IN YOUR MISSION
by getting aligned in meditative Torah.
“G-d forms the human body from the dust of the earth and blows into his nostrils a living soul”
